Latest gre Material; Graduate Record Exam
The GRE is an assessment of your critical thinking, analytical writing, verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning skills. The overall time for the test is 3 hours and 45 minutes. It is predominantly a computer-based test. This exam seeks to find out your depth of information, applied knowledge and your unique abilities to communicate same like a prominent writer.
Sections of the GRE Test
The Graduate Record Examination is broadly divided into three sections as follows;
#Analytical Writing
This is the writing section of the GRE,
- It has one section
- It has two components: Analyze an Issue Task and Analyze an Argument Task
- Each of the components has 30 minutes
- It is scored between 0-6 points
#Verbal Reasoning
This is the reading section,
- It has two sections of 30 minutes and 20 questions each
- It has 3 Question Types;
- Text Completion (6Q)
- Sentence Equivalence (4Q)
- Reading Comprehension (4 to 5 passages; 10Q)
- It is scored between 130-170
#3 Quantity Reasoning
This is the maths aspect of the GRE test
- It has two sections
- 20 questions in each section for 30 minutes
- The sections are the Maths with calculator and Maths without calculator
- Scored between 130-17o points
Kindly Note: you can skip questions within a section, go back and change answers and have the flexibility to choose which questions within a section you want to answer first
