What is IELTS About?
The International English Language Testing System – IELTS is an English Proficiency test that is structured to evaluate one’s proficiency in Standard English Language. Unlike the GRE exam, the IELTS is solely an English based test; it doesn’t require mathematical or technical knowledge to pass. What are the Types of IELTS?
There are about two major types of IELTS and they are as follows;
a) Standard IELTS: This is general unaccepted by more 150 countries and institutions combine but the UK does not accept this type of IELTS.
b) IELTS UKVI: This is highly recommended if your country of usage for the IELTS is UK inclusive as UK will gladly accept this type of IELTS.
What are the Versions of IELTS?
Basically the IELTS has three versions, they are explained below;
i) General Version: This is simply taken by those who intend to use IELTS to process work visa, upgrade their high school result and generally for Embassy purposes.
ii) Academic Version: The academic version of the IELTS is for academic purpose, and should be taken by those you who intend to seek admissions with their IELTS result.
iii) Life-Skills: The life skills aspect of the IELTS is taken by those who intend to go and meet their spouse in their country of destination as this test will test only two modules of the four modules taken by the other two versions of the IELTS.
